Slumping
is another exciting technique in the glass world. Flat glass is
fired over a mould at approximately 850 degrees centigrade. We built
our large gas or electric fired kiln in 2002 (MM Fusemaxx by Mikko
Merikallio, FIN). Here we can accommodate panels 150cm x 60cm. Our
popular African designs are slumped on gypsum molds and used for
display panels, in windows and door lights.
